Bio
Jason grew up in Southwestern Wisconsin, graduating from Southwestern High School in 1994. He graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 1998. He attended the Hamline University School of Law, ST. Paul, MN from 1998-2001 where he graduated with a juris doctorate in 2001. While in law school Jason was the president of the global student organization, the International Law Students Association, based in Washington, D.C. After law school Jason practiced law in Washington, D.C. for a couple of years. While in DC, Jason got bit by the political bug. He returned to Wisconsin to work on a gubernatorial campaign, followed by working as a legislative aide in the Wisconsin State Legislature. In February 2003, Jason’s Wisconsin Army National Guard unit was mobilized for service. Jason had received an honorable discharge in August 2002 after 8 years of service but volunteered to serve with his unit. Jason left Wisconsin again in February 2003 and did a combat tour in Iraq, returning in April 2004. After his return, Jason immediately went to work as the Director of Field Operations for a U.S. Congressional campaign. In April 2005 Jason returned to Madison to begin a career in lobbying. He worked as an associate for James Tenuta for five years and in January 2010 Jason went out on his own and formed Wisconsin Legislative Strategies.
Jason resides in Oregon, WI, a small town about 12 miles outside of Madison. He lives there with his wife of 3 years, Carin and their 2 year old twin daughters Abby & Ellie. He is an active member of the Oregon community, having served as President of the Chamber of Commerce. Commander of VFW Post 10272, VFW of Wisconsin State Legislative Committee member, sitting member of the Village of Oregon Zoning Appeals Board and Strategic Planning and Outreach Committee.
